We raise a variety of animals on our farm in a humane and sustainable manner. A mix of pastures and crops are harvested by us and the animals for their feed and bedding.
Chickens
We offer Free - Range Eggs throughout most of the year. The chickens get plenty of exercise, eat insects, and pasture which in turn produces a high quality egg. We offer mixed types of brown, white, and blue eggs. We are very proud of these special eggs.
Turkeys
We raise a limited number of Pastured Turkeys for the Fall. They sell fast, please inquire if you are interested or would like further information. Please reserve by June, they run $2.90/lb. If interested, please inquire.
Pigs
We raise a Tamworth (Irish Heritage Breed) / Hampshire cross. They are great pigs to raise on pasture (not cement floors) and are very hardy to weather and disease. We offer a few each year as weaner pigs or we raise them to be sold by the "half" or "whole". They regularly harvest crops themselves, and turn our large compost piles. They sell fast, please inquire if you are interested or would like further information.
Goats
At the moment we raise Nubians/oberhaslis for "home -milkers", we are expecting kids in April/May. Both breeds are known for their high butterfat content and good personalities. If you are interested in a "milker" or "kid", or whole/half cuts of goat meat, please check with us on availability
Dogs
Our English Mastiff protects the chickens and other livestock from any predators. He is a good, solid guardian of his flocks.
Our Boston Terrier makes short work of any mice or other rodents. The two dogs are the best of pals! A new puppy has been added to the farm, a Bullmastiff - 'Timber" will be assisting Tuva with his full-time job.
