What Types of Food Will I Receive?
We grow specific types and varieties that do exceptionally well in cooler weather. There is nothing better than "Frosted" vegetables.

Any food allergies?
By purchasing a Fall Share with Country Roots Farm, I am contributing to the farmer's ability to continue to offer locally grown foods. I am making a financial commitment for the Fall season. Nature is unpredictable and even though I am guaranteed fresh produce for the growing season, due to the inherent risks of farming, there are no guarantees on the exact amount of produce I will receive.

Winter News From the Farm
It's January 2012 and we are wrapping up all growing for this season except for food we grow for ourselves in one of the high tunnels or keep in our root cellar bus. The bus is working out really well for food preservation, we couldn't be happier!
For the rest of Winter we will be focusing on fixing equipment, dealing with messes, new projects, raising some new chicks, moving the animal houses around to new ground, chores, home studies with Reed, and altering our physical relationship with the farm to an intellectual one - planning and reading by the fire will be a welcome change of pace for the moment. February wlll bring a change of pace in readying and planing in our high tunnels for our new Spring CSA share!
